Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda To Become Only For Pedestrians Street; BMC Bans Vehicle Entry
Gorgeous Cobbled pathways lead to boutiques, art galleries, and historic structures such as the Rhythm House: an idea that sounds like a dream will soon become reality. Mumbai residents will soon be treated to a picturesque turnaround of the magnificent and historically significant Kala Ghoda, as the notion of beautifying it in addition to having cobbled paths is set to be implemented. Once the renovations are completed, the area will be completely closed to vehicles and only open to walkers.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken on the project, which entails extensive beautifying of the regions before paving the roadways with cobblestones. Makarand Narwekar, a former BJP corporator from Colaba, is the person who is behind the concept.

A specific urban designer has been hired to plan the entire project. The actual start date for the project is unknown at this time.
