Ayodhya Celebrates First Anniversary of Shri Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha Ceremony
Ayodhya is buzzing with activity as devotees gather to celebrate the first anniversary of the consecration of Shri Ram Mandir. While the original Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place on January 22, 2024, this year’s anniversary is being observed on January 11, 2025.
Why January 11?
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust explained that Hindu rituals follow the Hindu calendar. The Pran Pratishtha was performed on Paush Shukla Paksha Dwadashi (Kurma Dwadashi) in 2024. In 2025, this date falls on January 11, making it the day for the anniversary celebration.
Event Highlights
The celebrations include religious rituals and cultural events at several locations within the temple complex:
Yajna Mandap (Temple Premises):
- Agnihotra with Shukla Yajurveda mantras (8:00 AM–11:00 AM and 2:00 PM–5:00 PM).
- Six lakh recitations of the Shri Ram Mantra.
- Chanting of the Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa.
Ground Floor of the Temple:
- Raga Seva (3:00 PM–5:00 PM).
- Badhai Gaan (celebratory songs, 6:00 PM–9:00 PM).
First Floor of Yatri Suvidha Kendra:
- Musical recitation of the Ramcharitmanas.
Angad Teela:
- Ram Katha (2:00 PM–3:30 PM).
- Discourses on the Ramcharitmanas (3:30 PM–5:00 PM).
- Cultural programs (5:30 PM–7:30 PM).
Additionally, Shri Ram’s prasad will be distributed to all devotees throughout the day.
This grand celebration reflects the spiritual and cultural importance of the Ram Mandir and has drawn thousands of devotees to be part of this special occasion.
