On March 3, Sunday, Mumbaikars will have to make a wise choice while travelling, as Mumbai’s lifeline local train will have a big interruption in providing transport service. The Railway Department has announced a mega block on all three lines, i.e. Central, Western, and Harbour.

Central Railway has announced a mega block between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Vidyavihar. There will be a mega block between Mankhurd and Nerul on Sunday. There will be a night block between Santacruz and Goregaon on the Western Railway and services will run uninterrupted during day time. The railways announced a block on all three lines as it is working on the maintenance of signals and overhead wires along with tracks.

Block Details:-

Central Railway:

Station – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Vidyavihar (Up and down).

Time – 10.55 am to 3.55 pm.

Local trains on the slow route will be diverted to the fast route during the block period. Some local trains will be cancelled and some will be running later than usual.

Harbour Railway:

Station – Mankhurd to Nerul (Up and down).

Time – 11.15 am to 4.15 pm.

Up and down local flights between Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from CSMT will remain cancelled. Special local trains will be run from CSMT to the Mankhurd area.

Western Railway:

Station – Santacruz to Mahim (Up and down).

Timing – 12.30 am to 4.30 am (Saturday & Sunday).

Local trains on slow routes will be diverted to fast routes during the block period. Due to this, the local trains running late at night will be cancelled. Due to the night block, there will be no block on the Western Railway during the day on Sunday.
