Cargo services resume at Pune airport

International cargo services at Pune Airport have resumed. Cargo weighing 123 kg was sent from Pune to Singapore on Tuesday (12th). Air transport companies refused to carry cargo on the grounds that there was no space for cargo in passenger aircraft. International cargo service at Pune airport was closed for a month.

Customs Department Commissioner Yashodhan Vange visited the cargo terminal at the airport on Monday (11th). Cargo service resumed on Tuesday (12th) after discussion with the administration.

Airport Director Santosh Dhoke along with other senior officials were present on this occasion. Deputy General Manager (Cargo) Pradeep Kumar said that the service was stopped due to some technical problems. It started again from Tuesday.
