Govandi Fire Accident: 15 Commercial Units And Houses On Blaze, Cause Of Fire Yet Unknown
A huge fire broke out in the Baiganwadi area of Govandi in the early hours of Saturday. As per the information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials, 15 commercial units and some houses were damaged in that fire.

No casualties were reported from the fire that broke out at Baiganwadi in the Adarsh Nagar. According to the civic authority, the fire brigade was informed about the fire via a call that arrived at 3:55 a.m.
“Around 15 galas (commercial units) on the ground floor and some houses on the first floor were damaged in the fire that broke out in a chawl at Baiganwadi in Adarsh Nagar area of Govandi,” the fire department said.
The BMC reported that efforts were being made to put out the fire, which had consumed some electrical cables and installations, plastic sheets, furniture, household goods, and wooden boards.
An ambulance and a few water trucks were dispatched to the site. The fire department official stated that no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is yet unknown.
