Pune : MSEDCL gears up for Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar free electricity scheme; Receives 662 applications
Trained officers and staff in Pune circle are ready to implement Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana, which provides up to 300 units of free electricity per month to electricity consumers from rooftop solar power projects. Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar informed that the concerned customers have been directed to provide prompt service and cooperation without any harm to implement the solar project through this scheme.
As per further information from MSEDCL Pune, Chief Engineer Pawar recently interacted with the beneficiary customers of Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana at the ‘Prakashdoot’ auditorium in Rasta Peth. Expectations and difficulties were learned from them. Superintendent Engineer Arvind Bulbule, Sanjeev Rathod, Executive Engineer Dhanraj Bikkad, System Analyst Balkrishna Patil were present on this occasion.
Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar said that 120 units per month of one kilowatt capacity, 150 units per month up to two kilowatts and 150 to 300 units per month up to three kilowatts will be available. For this, subsidy of Rs.30 thousand for one kilowatt, sixty thousand rupees for two kilowatts and Rs.78 thousand for three kilowatts is being directly received from Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana. This scheme is getting good response in Pune circle. As 662 applications have been received so far, the process of setting up rooftop solar power projects has started with the respective customers.
Over the past year, a lot of momentum has been given to the implementation of rooftop solar power projects in the Pune circle. As a result, rooftop solar power projects have increased by 44 percent in the last year. Engineers, employees of Mahavitaran as well as employees of agencies are being continuously trained. Special attention is being paid to ensure that all customer services related to Mahavitaran are promptly available for the construction of rooftop solar projects.
So far 2 thousand 692 household electricity consumers in Pune circle have implemented solar power projects of 14.91 MW capacity on their roofs by taking advantage of the previous subsidy from the central government. Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar informed that the response has also increased in Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana.
To participate in the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana, consumers should register on the national portal https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in or on the mobile app called PM Suryaghar. Pawar appealed to contact the office of Mahavitaran for more information. The electricity consumers present in the program expressed their satisfaction with the service provided by Mahavitaran.
On this occasion, the household electricity consumers of Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana, Narahari Khandve, Megha Rajendra More, Rajendra More, Manoj Patil, Adik Babar, Group Captain DS Rajput, Dilip Mawle, Nilesh Shewale, Ramesh Shirke, Suraj Shingare, engineers and officials were present.
