Pune : Undri Residents Demand Urgent Action as MSEDCL Poles Pose Road Hazards
Residents of Undri are facing perilous conditions on the road due to Mahavitaran poles obstructing traffic at Kad Nagar Chowk. Despite repeated pleas to MSEDCL and PMC, the issue remains unresolved, prompting concerns about safety and accidents.
Expressing frustration, one resident stated, “For over a year, we’ve been flagging the issue of these poles, but there’s been no response. Accidents have occurred, and it’s high time action is taken to prevent further mishaps.”
Social media users echoed these concerns, with one remarking, “MSEDCL seems to have been asleep for the past 18 months regarding pole relocation.”
Another user criticized the delay, suggesting, “MSEDCL appears to be waiting for a ceremonial moment to move the poles. Dodging them at night has become a sport.”
Residents called upon authorities to address the issue promptly. One tweet questioned the frequent maintenance-related load shedding in Pune, highlighting the need for infrastructure improvement.
Pune Pulse had raised this issue on X handle seeking resolution by MSEDCL and PMC.
In response, Arvind Bulbule, Superintendent Engineer at MSEDCL Pune, assured that immediate action would be taken upon inspection of the location.
The situation underscores the urgency for authorities to prioritize road safety and address infrastructure concerns promptly.

Why there is load shedding in the name of maintenance in entire Pune? Are the infrastructure so poor that it needs a maintenance every week? This shall change @MCCIA_Pune @sudhirmehtapune
