Bhel puri is a popular street food snack from India that people all over the country love. It is made with a delicious concoction of diced onions, potatoes, tomatoes, and puffed rice, along with different kinds of chutneys. This snack from the street offers a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, acidic, and spicy tastes. It never fails to please Indian food enthusiasts, whether it is eaten as an appetiser or as a quick snack. However, have you ever watched an American chef prepare this Indian appetiser? If not, check out this latest video recipe for bhel puri released by Eitan Bernath, who is well-known for posting Indian cuisine on Instagram.

The chef fills a big bowl with puffed rice, sev, and boondi at the start of the video. After that, he adds some crushed puris to the mixture. He then adds green chilies, chopped onions, tomatoes, and boiling potatoes. Next, the chef preheats a skillet, toasts some peanuts, and adds them to the mixture of bhel puri. Then he adds the Kashmiri chilli and chaat masala, mixing everything well until it’s all dry. Then Eitan stirs everything again with tamarind and mint chutneys. In addition, he recommends that the mixture be “wet but not soggy.” Once the dish is ready, he heaps it onto a platter and tucks it into the tasty concoction.

The video was captioned, “I’ve been dreaming of the bhel puri I ate in Mumbai on my last trip, so I had to give it a try myself.”

After watching Eitan’s video, Indian food lovers felt amazed and shared their reactions in the comment section of instagram. A user commented, “That looks like a bomb! Did it feel like you were back in India?” Another one wrote, “That looks so good!” Someone said, “Wow, that’s great! That’s my favourite dish, and by the way, I’m missing home. That looks yum,” read a comment. A few echoed, “You’re phenomenal!”
