A tragic road accident in Mumbai’s Wadala area near Ambedkar College took the life of a four-year-old boy, Ayush Laxman Kinvade. He was hit by a speeding Hyundai Creta driven by 19-year-old Sandeep Gole from Vile Parle. Ayush’s family, who lives on the footpath, has been left heartbroken by the loss. His father works as a laborer, according to the police.

This incident raises serious concerns about road safety in Mumbai. Just days earlier, on December 9, an electric bus operated by BEST lost control in Kurla, crashing into pedestrians and vehicles. That accident claimed seven lives, injured 42 people, and damaged over 20 vehicles, with the shocking scene captured on CCTV.

Maharashtra is one of the states with the highest number of road accidents, according to a report from the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The police are continuing their investigation into the Wadala accident.
