The threat, which was sent via WhatsApp to the Worli office of the Mumbai Transport Department, has raised fresh concerns about the actor’s safety.

According to officials, the message included grave warnings—threatening to assassinate Khan by entering his residence and claiming that a bomb had been planted in his car. Following the incident, the Worli Police Station registered a formal complaint against an unknown person and launched efforts to trace the origin of the message.

This is not the first instance where Salman Khan has been the subject of such threats. The actor has previously been targeted, prompting authorities to increase security around him in recent years.

Investigators are now working with cybercrime units to identify the sender and assess the credibility of the threat. Meanwhile, police are not ruling out the possibility of connections to earlier intimidation attempts.
