Woman Takes Sick Day, Finds Herself on Same Flight as Her Manager

Have you ever lied to your manager or boss for taking a day off from work? At some point, everyone must have given a harmless excuse to take a short or long break from the monotonous routine at the office. However, what would you do if you were caught red-handed?
In such a hilarious incident, a woman, who took the risk of calling in sick, encountered an awkward moment after she ended up on the same plane as her manager.
The 23-year-old woman identified as Grace shared a clip on social media where she can be seen on the flight with her hood up and frown face before sharing a screengrab of messages between her and her manager. Interestingly, while filming the video, her manager was seen taking a picture of her.
A video was posted to her TikTok account @grachevaaleidya, on June 22, with the caption, “Me taking a sick day from work just to end up in the same airplane as my manager.”
Ever since the video was uploaded, it has been viewed 740,000 times and garnered several likes. Moreover, many users in the comments section squirmed just imagining themselves in the same position.
According to Newsweek, Grace is a freelancer, who splits her time between Bali in Indonesia, and Europe for work. When she needed to head home to Bali, Grace claimed she had a doctor’s appointment that Friday and would not be able to work.
Explaining the story in brief, she said: “I was waiting in the airport line and then I saw a familiar face coming to me which called my name. Unfortunately, her boss also often stays in Bali, and when he recognised her ahead of the flight, he asked her sarcastically: “Oh, so this is a hospital?”Despite the unexpected run-in, Grace and her manager took things in stride. “I was so shocked but we ended up laughing together and talked all the way to the airplane. Later, he took the picture and shared it with me,” she concluded.
