CM Fadnavis Unveils 100-Day Action Plan Focused on Technology, Sustainability, and Citizen-Centric Growth
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed state departments to prepare a 100-day plan aimed at driving growth through citizen-focused initiatives, technology-based programs, and impactful achievements. He emphasized the need for measures that make services easily accessible to people while ensuring the state’s continued progress.
At a meeting at the Sahyadri Guest House, Fadnavis reviewed plans from the Higher and Technical Education, Forest, and Agriculture Departments. He urged the Forest Department to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology (IT) to handle human-wildlife conflicts more effectively. He also called for a quick-response rescue team to manage emergencies and suggested expanding leopard shelters and relocating some animals to sanctuaries in other states due to rising leopard numbers in certain areas. Additionally, he proposed creating a carbon credit policy and using the Miyawaki method to boost urban greenery.
For the Agriculture Department, Fadnavis stressed the importance of initiatives that directly benefit farmers. He also encouraged the Higher and Technical Education Department to attract international universities and establish world-class educational centers to improve Maharashtra’s education system.
During the review meeting, senior officials presented their plans, and Fadnavis highlighted the need for long-term strategies alongside the 100-day action plan to ensure sustainable development across the state.
