Passenger Shares Disturbing Incident Between Bandra and King’s Circle; Raises Questions Over Safety in Mumbai Locals

Mumbai: A disturbing incident inside a Mumbai local train has raised fresh concerns over women’s safety after a man allegedly entered a ladies compartment and created panic among passengers during the journey between Bandra and King’s Circle stations.

The incident came to light after passenger Tulika Jain shared details and a video of the episode on social media. According to her, the man entered the women’s compartment at Bandra station despite repeated objections from female passengers.

Women inside the coach allegedly asked him several times to leave, while passengers from the nearby general compartment also shouted at him to get down. However, the man reportedly refused and started arguing aggressively with the women.

As the situation became tense, the passengers tried to seek help through the railway helpline number 1512, but according to Tulika Jain, there was no response from authorities during the emergency.

The women also attempted to use the emergency talkback system installed inside the coach, but claimed that it was not working.

The situation reportedly turned more serious when the train reached King’s Circle station. While trying to escape, the man allegedly pushed one of the women passengers forcefully before getting off the train.

Sharing the incident online, Tulika Jain questioned the safety arrangements in Mumbai local trains and expressed concern over the failure of emergency systems.

“This is very scary and dangerous. What if there were only a few women inside the compartment?” she wrote in her post, while urging the Mumbai Police and railway authorities to take immediate action.

The viral video has sparked strong reactions online, with many social media users demanding stricter security measures and better functioning emergency services in Mumbai’s suburban railway network.
