Outburst during political rally highlights growing frustration over road blockades and VIP movement

A woman in Mumbai has gone viral after confronting Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan over severe traffic congestion in Worli, allegedly caused by a political rally.

According to reports, the incident occurred during a BJP-led Jan Aakrosh march from Jamboori Maidan to the NSCI Dome, which led to heavy traffic disruption in the area. Several commuters were left stranded for a long time as roads remained blocked.

The woman, who was reportedly on her way to pick up her child, stepped out of her vehicle and walked towards the rally route. In a widely circulated video, she is seen questioning organisers and police, asking why the road was blocked despite open grounds being available nearby.

Eyewitnesses said she demanded that traffic be cleared immediately, expressing frustration over the inconvenience caused to the public.

Reacting to the incident, Girish Mahajan said the woman was upset due to the traffic situation and that officials had tried to calm her down. He also claimed that she threw a bottle towards the rally, calling the act inappropriate, while adding that such situations can arise during large public gatherings.

The video quickly spread across social media, with many users supporting the woman and saying her reaction reflected the daily struggles of commuters facing traffic delays due to political events and VIP movement.

The incident has once again sparked debate over the impact of rallies and road closures on public convenience in a densely populated city like Mumbai.
