New Delhi | April 10, 2025 — A young Air India Express pilot tragically died of a suspected cardiac arrest shortly after successfully landing a flight from Srinagar at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Wednesday evening. The pilot, identified as Armaan, was in his late 30s and had recently tied the knot.
According to sources within the airline, Armaan operated the Srinagar–Delhi flight on April 9 without any issues. However, after landing and disembarking from the aircraft, he began feeling unwell while inside the airline’s office premises. Witnesses reported that he vomited before collapsing in the airline’s dispatch area.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
